Eleanor Davis and Esther Pearl Watson at Fantagraphics Bookstore on Sunday, July 13

June 26, 2014 – Seattle, WA. Two of the country's most talented young cartoonists, Eleanor Davis and Esther Pearl Watson, will appear at Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery on Sunday, July 13, 2014, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. The event includes a book signing and exhibition of original art, which coincides with the colorful Georgetown Garden Walk.

Esther Pearl Watson returns to Seattle for the publication of UNLOVABLE Vol. 3. This series features the illustrated adolescent observations of Tammy Lee Pierce and was inspired by a 1980s diary Watson discovered abandoned in a gas station restroom. The narrative is at once tragic and hilarious, rendered in a fashion that reflects the insecurities of the venerable teenage protagonist. Eleanor Davis will present the debut of her comics anthology HOW TO BE HAPPY. Her polished line work and alluring palette perfectly complement her compelling stories.

Please join us in welcoming these exceptional artists on Sunday, July 13 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Complimentary beverages will be provided. This event coincides with the 17th annual Georgetown Garden Walk, where the public is invited to tour the lovely home gardens in Seattle's historic Georgetown neighborhood. Fantagraphics Bookstore is located at 1201 S. Vale Street in the heart of the Georgetown arts community. Open daily 11:30 to 8:00 PM, Sundays until 5:00 PM. Phone 206.658.0110.
