The French Comics Association invites you to an evening of comics, screened and read aloud by their creators and friends, with Q&A and signings/sketches to follow. Inspired by the popular Carousel series, we’ll be projecting graphic narratives with theatrical live readings–bonus charming accents included. Followed by an artist meet and greet and book-signings. Featuring: Zep (A Story of Men), Fabien Nury (The Death of Stalin), Alexis Sentenac (Siberia 56), Mathieu Lauffray (Long John Silver), Patricia Lyfoung (The Scarlet Rose), Valérie Vernay (Water Memory) and El Torres (Ghost of Gaudi). Emcee’d by the fabulous Katie Skelly (My Pretty Vampire) with special guest “ambassador” Alex de Campi (No Mercy), this cross-cultural gathering will be a can’t-miss artsy party, whether you come up after NYCC or skip Javits and just head uptown to start your weekend…
