On Saturday, October 10, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, Warren Bernard presents Cartoons for Victory with an exhibition from his fascinating archive of World War II home front ephemera, a slide talk, reception, and book signing. On Friday, October 30 at 6:00 PM the store hosts Short Run Marathon III featuring work of special guests at the Short Run Comix & Arts Festival including Charles Forsman, Melissa Mendes, Jim Woodring, Krish Raghav, Bruce Bickford, and Sam Alden, with live music by Lisa Prank. On Saturday, November 14 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, we’ll premiere the new collection of revealing journal comix by Seattle artist Tatiana Gill. The next day, Sunday, November 15 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM we present a panel on Best American Comics 2015 with editor and literary luminary Jonathan Lethem, joined by local contributors Peter Bagge, Megan Kelso, and Jim Woodring. Then on Saturday, December 12 we celebrate our 9th anniversary with the debut of Cheech Wizard’s Book of Me featuring a Vaughn Bode tribute exhibition and more.
