What’s in Store: Beer and Pizza!

Come celebrate “R Day” this Saturday, October 6 featuring a deluge of beer and a free concert by the Moondoggies and Helio Sequence right outside the bookstore. Georgetown is the ancestral home of Rainier Beer, once the 5th largest brewery in the country. Be advised access to the area around the store will be restricted to ages 21 and over starting at 1:00 PM. Should be great fun!

The following Saturday, October 13 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, we’ll host a festive reception for Sarah Romano Diehl presenting her new new graphic memoir, From Crust Till Dawn. This colorful risograph book, printed by our neighbors at Paper Press Punch, chronicles the artist’s tragicomic experiences in pizza delivery. Complimentary pizza, soda, and yes, beer! This event coincides with the Georgetown Art Attack featuring lively visual and performing arts presentations throughout the historic neighborhood.

Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery is located at 1201 S. Vale Street, only minutes south of downtown Seattle. Open daily 11:30 to 8:00 PM, Sundays until 5:00 PM. Phone 206-557-4910.
