What’s in Store: Coulrophobia!

Power_Tool_2016     Coulrophobic Clown

Check out our entry in Hazardfactory’s annual Power Tool Drag Races at the Georgetown Carnival this Saturday, June 11. It’s a circular palm sander. Not fast, but definitely furious. Side by side eliminations start at noon. Don’t miss the amazing Georgetown Clown Town at the Stables curated by Celeste Kean and Larry Reid. The show features contemporary clown imagery by Marion Peck, Edward Matlock, Doug Parry, Tatiana Gill, Kelly O, Extremo, Jo David, Owen Smith, Seth Goodkind, Greg Swanson, Allen Gladfelter and Ron English. His “Coulrophobic Clown” (pictured above) refers to a compulsive fear of clowns. It’s been fascinating to discover how many people suffer from this affliction. The detail is amazing. Come see if you dare. Then join Tatiana at Fantagraphics Bookstore at 4:00 as she presents her new adult coloring book Down to Clown.

Acrobats, art, carnival games, confections, burlesque, beer gardens, belly dancers, drag queens, magic, and more! Music by El Vez, Lisa Prank, Star Anna, Paper Dolls, Gretta Harley, MKB Ulra, Less Than Equals, Maszer, and more! Free fun for everyone at this festive celebration of arts and culture in Seattle’s oldest neighborhood.
