Montreal-based cartoonist Tommi Parrish will be at Desert Island Comics in Brooklyn on February 2nd to read from and sign copies of their new graphic novel, The Lie and How We Told It.
The Lie tells a deceptively simple story of friends grown apart, who run into one another by chance and spend an evening catching up in color and texture-rich paintings. Interwoven with the main story is an meta-novella drawn in satisfyingly precise black line.

Tommi Parrish is a cartoonist, illustrator, and art editor originally from Melbourne, Australia. Their work has appeared in various anthologies, magazines, mini comics, gallery shows in New York, Argentina, and throughout Australia, as well as the online column Advicecomics. They are also the art editor of the Australian literary journal The Lifted Brow.
